The name says it all, because our Madalga Classico hand mill is a classic, a true jewel that will enhance your kitchen. It can produce a considerable amount of flour without any electricity. The large hopper holds a full 1.3 kg (wheat). The large flywheel with hand crank drives the mill with ease, so it can be easy to produce your own flour without using any electricity.

The Madalga Classico hand grain mill is extremely solidly made, has a stainless steel grinding mechanism which can process not only all types of grain, but also all types of seeds and dried maize. The grinding degree can be adjusted so generously that even grist such as green kernel meal can be produced.

Our Madalga Classico hand grain mill is made of robust metal. High-quality manufacturing and robustly welded, it stands for durability and longevity.

Suitable for motor operation

With a suitable motor, our Madalga Classico can be driven very easily via a belt. The large drive wheel/flywheel has a groove that provides space for a belt.

Large hopper

The feed hopper of the Madalga Classico is perfect because it holds approx. 1.3 kg (wheat)! This means that a large amount of flour can be produced with one grinding cycle. A wooden handle is also included in the scope of delivery, which is positioned on top of the hopper. This promises perfect handling during grinding.

Adjust grind

The Madalga Classico hand-operated grain mill can be adjusted on the side of the grinding disc as easily as turning the radio up or down. The grinding degree is finer in a clockwise direction and coarser in an anticlockwise direction.

I contacted LUBA for advice to see if my Brod&Taylor FP-201 proofer could be repaired. I have been using it for both yoghurt-making as well as dough for a little over a decade now several times a week. The power switch was becoming a little intermittent and I was aware from past blog and newsletters that the proofer was intended to be repairable. The same day I was advised that I could send it in for overhaul or I could have a look myself and see if the control panel buttons needed cleaning. While I did need an anti-tamper triangle 2.3mm bit I was able to see that the control buttons were designed using real switches rather than cheaper membranes. A little IPA on the contacts, some rapid pressing then a blow dry and the unit was back to its reliable self. It is nice to have an appliance that is designed to be repaired as well as a company that is happy to chat to you about it over a decade after you bought it. Thank you.

I cannot rate these guys highly enough, restored my faith in customer service way beyond my expectations. As a new and nervous sourdough breadmaker I ordered a piece of equipment for setting my sourdough starter. Eventually used it for the 1st time 3 month s after buying only to find it wasn't heating up properly. I contacted the company late on a Friday, spoke to Tom who advised me to run some tests over the weekend and if still a problem to call them back on Monday. Assured that it wasn't me and that the thing really was defective, I called on Monday morning. No stress, no hassle, I was emailed a return postage label and told they would send the replacement out to me right away. I posted the item on Tuesday. On Wednesdsy I received the new properly working piece of equipment, that is, even before the returned item had been received by them. Guys, you made my day as I have very low expectations when it comes to customer service. Nice to know that companies and service like this still exist!
