hawos Molere Hand Grain Mill

With approx. 100g of fine flour in just 4 minutes, we’ve developed a manually operated flour mill for the modern kitchen.  The grinding stones are made of corundum / ceramic are incredibly hard wearing and ensure a top-notch grinding result. The removable funnel sits on a rectangular, block of wood, behind which the millstones hide. The degree of fineness is set by two wing nuts. The crank is ergonomically shaped and easy to turn. The two included clamps ensure the hand mill sits firmly to a table. A high quality glass bowl is also included. In addition to single-grain cereals, various grains can be mixed and ground at the same time. Robust construction and simple operation.

Type of Wood

The hawos Molere is available in either solid beech or sheets of grade 1 beech wood layered on top of one another. Our favourite is the layered design, and not just because it is slightly more affordable, but also because hawos uses what we consider to be the highest quality layered woodwork we’ve ever seen.  Rather than a single block of solid beech, they are layers of solid beech that are placed on-top of one another in alternating direction and pressed together under extremely high pressure which not only creates a truly beautiful line-design around the edges, it is also more environmentally friendly than solid wood and more durable in high humidity environments.  High humidity does not just exist on tropical islands or on the British coastline, but can also exist around your cooker/hob.  In the end, it is simply a matter of fashion, so go for the one you like the look of the most – you’ll love the Molere whichever one you go for.
