Due to higher-than-expected demand, we are currently running very low on stock of the hawos Billy 1.
To help balance inventory levels, we are offering a limited upgrade promotion on selected alternative hawos models, supported by hawos.
What is the difference between the hawos models?
The main difference between the model ranges is the housing material:
- Novum 1 – plastic housing in different colour options
- Billy 1 & Billy 2 – layered birch plywood
- Queen 1 & Queen 2 – layered beech plywood
- M 1 & M 2 – solid beech
- Oktagon 1 & Oktagon 2 – solid beech
Solid wood housings can help reduce operating noise. The Oktagon is the quietest of these models thanks to its distinctive housing design.
What is the difference between the 1 and 2 series?
The difference between the 1 and 2 series is the motor power and milling output.
The 2 series produces almost twice as much flour, increasing output from approximately:
- 125 g/min to 220 g/min for fine flour
- 250–300 g/min to 450–500 g/min for coarse flour
The stronger motor also makes the mill approximately 4 cm taller.
